  1. Well, I obviously live under a rock because I’d never heard of the Celtic New Year. I just Googled, and found this, which seemed so appropriate after Superstorm Sandy: ‘the first month of the Celtic year is Samonios, ‘Seed Fall’: in other words, from … darkness springs life and light.’ Wishing you a most cheerful Celtic New Year, Barbara!

    1. Thank you, AA, and I wish for you and your loved ones much cheer, life and light in the Celtic New Year! I love taking note of the seasonal markers on the ancient Celtic calendar – it makes me feel more connected to Mother Earth. And I’m a big fan of Van Morrison, too, so there I go again… Next up, winter solstice!
