“Artifacts” © Val Erde

It’s very difficult to explain the effect the first blues record I heard had on me, except to say that I recognized it immediately. It was as if I were being reintroduced to something that I already knew, maybe from another, earlier life. For me there is something primitively soothing about this music, and it went straight to my nervous system, making me feel ten feet tall.
~ Eric Clapton
(Clapton: The Autobiography)

And a third gift from Val Erde – thanks ever so much, Val!

And another fascinating piece of art!
    Thanks, Barbara!

    1. You’re welcome, OM! 🙂 Whenever I see Eric Clapton playing his guitar I sense that he is at one with the instrument, that it is directly connected to his soul.

  2. Great quote and photo!

It was and is the way I feel when I read Conversations with God Book 1 ! Spoke from and to the deepest places, I heard the voice… !

    I am Love, Jeff

    1. I’m glad that you enjoyed the words and picture, Jeff! That feeling of deep connection when ‘being reintroduced to something that we already knew’ is a cause for joy, isn’t it? And people have so many ways of describing it…

  3. Good pic to accompany the thought.
Perhaps the recognition comes from the roots of blues – partly from Irish/Scottish music entering America long before.
