    1. We keep seeing a pair of chickadees flying in and out so I hope they’ve set up housekeeping in there. 🙂

  1. Oh, Barbara, I do hope a bird family moves in soon! It’s so much fun to watch the entire progress, from egg to babies leaving the nest!

    1. I think a pair of Carolina chickadees has moved it, judging by our seeing them coming out of the birdhouse and visiting the feeder. I hope we don’t miss the babies when they fledge!

    1. Yes, indeed! A pair of Carolina chickadees have been seen going in and comin out. Keeping my fingers crossed that we see fledglings one of these days.

  2. A peaceful scene. Just the right size for tiny birds and your window to the world gives you a bird’s-eye view of their comings and goings. I hope this not the tree that is going to be taken down?

    1. No, this tree is not tagged for removal, although I hope they don’t remove the one nearby while the chickadees are still using this birdhouse. The chickadees do a lot of scolding when crows come around and I can only imagine how they would react to the sound of chainsaws so close to their home.

      1. Thank goodness this is not the tree slated for removal. I didn’t know if you put it up then learned of its demise. It must be delightful listening to the Chickadees’ song though … they are the cutest little birds.

        1. Now they tell us that tree won’t be removed until next year, so we can enjoy it for another summer and fall. Listening to the chickadees singing, chattering and scolding is a never-ending source of pleasure for my weary spirits! ♡

          1. That’s great news! Hopefully no weather-related events cause another branch to fall and they may even change their mind and keep it. (Give it some liquid fertilizer on the QT to keep it strong.) It is delightful to watch and listen to cute chickadees buzzing about and calling. Lots of photos for your blog as well!
