restore us to memory

“Candlemas Day” by Marianne Stokes

Brighid of the mantle, encompass us;
Lady of the Lambs, protect us;
Keeper of the hearth, kindle us;
Beneath your mantle, gather us,
And restore us to memory

    1. I’m glad you like it, Debbie. I got it from “The Celtic Spirit: Daily Meditations for the Turning Year” by Caitlรญn Matthews. ๐Ÿ™

  1. At the end of my online yoga practice the teacher was thanking us for coming to the hearth for virtual community & self care. She then reminded us that heart is the foundation of hearth. This poem hit home in my primed consciousness.

    1. What a wonderful bit of synchronicity. In ancient times people gathered around the literal hearth and now the internet has become a virtual gathering place for community. Even a doctor visit for healing can be by video call! ๐Ÿ™

      Are your online yoga practices in real time or are they recordings?

    1. So happy this little blessing made you feel good, Ally. I have a decorative sign in my living room that says “gather” and it isn’t lost on me how impossible physical gathering is at the moment. Thank you so much for visiting my virtual hearth. ๐Ÿ’™
