It’s easy to believe in magic when you’re young. Anything you couldn’t explain was magic then. It didn’t matter if it was science or a fairy tale. Electricity and elves were both infinitely mysterious and equally possible — elves probably more so.

    1. Yes, I think technology and fairy tales are still endless sources of mystery to me, too. I love John Bauer’s mythical creatures and magical places. *hugs*

  1. I love the contrast between elves and Bianca. I still find a lot of magic in the natural world, but I seem to be unable to bask in it as I once did. Jane

    1. Me, too, Jane. I love the dyes you’re creating out of the plants you find in the natural world surrounding you – that seems like a good way to bask in its magic.

  2. Elves and electricity hold the mystery that eludes, enchants and entwines us with the wonders of Natures. You’ve given us something wonderful to think about as midsummer eve will soon be upon us.

    1. Thank you, Amy-Lynn. To me, the energy I feel coming from the trees in the woods around midsummer is more intense, almost electric. I can’t put my finger on it or describe it well, but I like the words you chose – it is elusive, enchanting and entwining…

  3. Everything IS mystery! Yet our minds love to categorize, label and think they know something. At least mine does. Lovely magical post.

    1. Mine does, too, Kathy. It seems the harder I try to categorize, label and understand, the more mysterious “everything” gets!
