  1. I really do believe that we are born with wonder, all you need to do is watch the wonder in children’s eyes, and the look on their faces, as they make new discoveries in the world. What a wonderful time you have to look forward to, Barbara, when your grand baby is born, as you see the world through the wondrous eyes of a child!

    1. Oh yes, Joanne, I so enjoyed watching the gazing eyes and facial expressions of my babies as they discovered this new world surrounding them. And that first smile – to me that was even more exciting than the first steps or the first words. 🙂 It will be wonderful to hold a newborn once again…

  2. Barbara – I, too, believe we are born with an incredible sense wonder. Until I saw “Photo by Barbara Rogers” I thought this was a watercolor painting. This is a fantastic shot!

    1. Thank you so much, Laurie! It was a lucky shot, leaning myself outside the car’s window. 🙂 One never knows what wonder one will pass by while out doing mundane errands.

    1. Thank you, Melissa! You made me think of that saying I used to see on refrigerator magnets and bumper stickers – bloom where you’re planted. The world would flourish if all of us appreciated our local treasures more. We’d no doubt stop littering, too.

    1. Me, too, Sheryl…

  3. Barbara, your photo is really wonderful. Good capture! Wonder is such a gift. And it’s what we’re born with, what we are, underneath all our thoughts and beliefs, don’t you think?

    1. Thank you so much, Kathy! It’s true, when thinking dominates our thinking it is so easy to bury our innate sense of wonder under our beliefs. But to experience it, even for a moment or two, is a blessing indeed.

  4. Becoming acquainted with their environment is something animals intrinsically do. And man is so much more present and alive when he does, too. Another lovely post, Barbara! XO ♥

    1. Thank you, Diane! Sometimes I envy animals their ability to accept and respond to things as they are, without agonizing over all the big questions the way we humans so often do. *hugs*
