    1. The way Holmes describes the arrival of spring is definitely heart-warming. ♡ 🌸

  1. Love this, Barbara. Wonderful pairing of quote and image. I was just writing about how spring moves across the landscape (when we travel from here to NE Ohio, it’s almost like time traveling through springtime).

    1. Thank you, Robin. I know what you mean about time traveling through springtime. I love seeing the pictures in other blogs from different parts of the country, enjoying different blooms at different times. 🌸

  2. That quote is so true right now – I see trees filled with white and pink blossoms everywhere. My neighbor’s Magnolia tree finally opened, then we got that big wind and the blossoms are scattered, but no worries because last year it was in bloom four, if not five times.

    1. We still have a few trees blossoming down here but most are fully leafed out and all the lush green is so pretty. The chickadee birdhouse is almost completely hidden behind the leaves now. I hope you’re getting to see your squirrels more often now. Enjoy your lovely spring colors, my friend! 🌸

      1. We’ve had hot weather and rain and five days of rain are on the way, off and on, but mostly on. They had said it would be a rainy Spring. The lawns are growing like crazy and finally the leaves are out – Spring has sprung it seems. I still see about five, sometimes seven squirrels tops. They have litters twice yearly, the first in February to March. They don’t leave the nest for three months, so hopefully there are new squirrels to spoil soon. There are contractors doing some work in the Park again. They are digging some big holes in the middle of the walking loop. The poor critters, once again it’s nesting season, then dealing with the noise, probably wondering if their nests will still remain.
